DAS Trader Pro Advanced Hotkeys part 60
A true PANIC button, working also in extended trading hours
I have been asked for a true panic button that would close all positions with one click even in extended trading hours - pre-market and post-market hours.
The well known PANIC hotkey command works only during market hours. It is supposed to be used when bad things are happening and you do not know what is going on so you better call this failsafe button to zero all your positions to avoid potentially more losses.
It requires a recent version of DAS Trader Pro (tested on 5.8.1.6), enabled advanced hotkeys in the settings and a named montage window.
What it does
it reads the number of positions you have had opened today (current limit is 199)
it changes the symbol one by one
it reads the current position size opened
it detects if the position is long or short
it cancels all the existing orders
it automatically rounds the price to 4 decimals for sub-dollar symbols
it calls an exit of the position using the preferred route
You can save it as a hotkey or a hot button or a window button. It can be easily adapted for specific routing depending on the time of the day etc.
